POWERFUL

RECOOLERS

EFFICIENT PROCESS COOLING

Technical data (Excerpt)

How can energy and costs in process cooling be reduced?
The answer is: with freecooling!

A recooler provides for the recooling of cooling water at suitably low outside temperatures without the use of an energy-intensive refrigeration compressor. By combining a compact chiller with a recooler, energy costs can be reduced by approx. 60-70% over the course of a year. The compressors of the compact cooler need to run less frequently, due to freecooling; therefore power consumption is significantly reduced.

Depending on the temperature level, up to 70% of the annual energy requirements may be saved. Thanks to the average ambient temperature of only 9°C, freecooling is one of the most efficient types of process cooling in Germany. The economic efficiency may be increased with adiabatic systems.

Advantages
  • additional system costs are amortized within one year.
  • optimum use of the available installation areas due to different designs and versions
  • thanks to adiabatic design with spray system and integrated high-pressure pump, the medium to be cooled can be cooled lower than the prevailing air temperature
Application range
  • for cooling water temperatures between 10°C and 25°C
  • for a moderate Central European climate
  • if cooling is required all year round
  • at cooling water temperatures between 25°C and30°C, compressor cooling may be dispensed withall year round when an adiabatic recooler is used
